We are preparing to send our paperwork this week...

What we have so far:

Payment: Personal check $590.00

Form I-751

Copy of my green card (front and back)

Copies of our drivers licenses

Copies of lease agreement showing joint tenancy of common residence & rent increase notice from manager

Copies of our joint tax returns and IRS tax return transcripts for 2009 and 2010

Copies of bank statements for our joint account and a confirmation letter from Chase

Copies of my husband’s 401k and life insurance beneficiary designation forms showing me as primary beneficiary

Copies of my 401k and life insurance beneficiary designation forms showing my husband as primary beneficiary

Copies of our cable, cell phone bills

Copy of our airline reservations and itinerary for our trip made last year

Some of our photos taken from 2009 to 2011.

Q1. We can't seem to find our electricity bills... and that only shows my name. We actually don't have any bills that show both of our names. Cable TV = my husband's name, cell phone = my name. Could this be a problem?

Q2. I see some people sent a copy of passport and marriage certificate... should we send them too?

Q3. Have any of you put post-its or something like that to number each content?

I'll really really appreciate any comment.

Thank you!

To me your evidence looks strong. Send in your utility bill copies anyway, I don't know many people who have both names on the same account, but showing that you share bills at the same address wouldn't hurt.

Not sure, we didn't send the passport but did send the marriage certificate.

Your evidence looks good to me. If you have Insurance for health, car or home with both of you names on them, include these as well.

Q1. It is not a problem at all. We don't have bills with both of our names on them, but we do have bills with his name and others my name on them showing the same address. We sent all those.

Q2. These are not required. I did not send them.

Q3. I did put post-it. Some people don't do it. It's up to you.

Good luck.

Yes, it looks good to me

I second what mari&Ryan said though about

If you have Insurance for health, car or home with both of you names on them, include these as well.

To address your specific questions though...

1. Shouldn't be a problem, but like simel1110 said, sending things that show you both get bills at the same address might help.

2. We did not send marriage cert. or any passport copies as they aren't required.

3. We used those Post-it diver tabs (they are like a see-through + a color at the end that you write on) things to separate the sections.
