It's a terrible state, the inhabitants are rude to tourists, and everything is overpriced. I would suggest a less expensive place to visit, perhaps Haiti, Mexico, or Iowa.

That's weird, my wife said the same thing to me before our son was born. I honestly had never given a second thought to it before that.

I still remember making up my mind not to do it after reading this tragic story.

I'm circumcised and I don't plan on having my unborn son go through one. We will teach him to properly clean himself. If he decides he wants the foreskin off, it would be his decision later in life.

Because I can't afford it. Not because California isn't a nice place. In a free market economy, one can not afford what one is not worth. I am not about to diss California because I can't afford it. That would be like me dissing someone else's Lambo because I can't afford it.
