How long for NVC case complete

I have a quick question, how long it took for you in NVC after you have submitted IV documents until you hear case completed, and interview scheduled? Was there a big time difference between the time of case complete and appointment scheduled.

If you can let me know, I appreciate that a lot.

I have sent my documents about 2 weeks ago, and I haven't heard anything since than. They (NVC)told me to allow at least 20 business days to review my case. I wonder how long does it usually take for everyone in average.

And once the case is complete, how long it takes to get an appointment scheduled at the consulate? I know this would depend on the business of the consulate, but I am asking how long it took for your case? Especially if anyone went through this in the US Consulate at Ankara, that is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

That is really nice. I just called them about few minutes ago. They said the same old thing, "allow 20 business days to review the case" so I already told them that it was delivered almost about 2 weeks ago, and the operator told me that they need a little more time, so hopefully by sometime next week, I will hear the case being complete.

Pray for us too, I hope it wont take too long to schedule an appointment, as well as not too far.

Thank for the update.

A few things .

First of all , be sure that you always send the BAR code whenever sending documents to NVC .

They get thousands of mails every day , so , guess what , it's going to get lost if you don't have the bar code.

Second, it also depends on which country . I have a feeling they have different section for different country . For China , as an example, it takes ONE month ( about 20 business days ) for processing . If there is RFE sent , another one months ,etc.... yeah, that's why some people may end up stuck for a few months. Then, interview, for China , it may even take longer , depending times of the year , too .

So, try to do it as perfectly as you can and you can call and check how your case is progressing as always.
