I can't believe it is taking so long...We filed at the CSC on Nov 8th then on March 28th I got a text saying that our file was forwarded to the NBC and then nothing.

I called them this week informing them that I am outside the normal processing time and she said that my case had been sent to the local office and then the local office sent it back to the service center. She said usaully it gets sent to the local office for a petitioner interview but sometimes not always it gets sent back to the service center with a report from the local office. So how long do I have to wait now :crying:

Yeserday's update says:

The I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

If you haven't already, it is time to contact your senator/congressman. Go to their website and get the release form that allows them to request info on your behalf and fax this over then call them and talk to their immigration liason.

Wow! Sorry to hear that! As you saw above our case "is now being processed" whatever that means. On the bottom it said something about waiting 180 days before contacting them. It sounds like we are in the same boat. I guess we just have to be patient and just wait. Luckily my husband is patient and very optimistic and of course I'm the total opposite that's why we are the so perfect together :luv:

When I screamed about the Caucasus region not being approved and Pakistan and other countries with 60 days later priority dates.

I was approved in 3 hours.. I faxed 40 plus copies of later priority dates and only 2 were from Albania and United Kingdom.. The rest were all middle east, etc....

It took 8 months for me to finally get the NOA2. I got stuck an additional 3 months for extended background checks and then paper work got sent to NBC for a standard interview. I had contacted my senator and within 2 days he found out what was going on with my husbands petition and had an interview date for me at the local office. In my opinion, it really pays off to get your Senator involved!
