My wife just got off the phone with U.S. Embassy in Manila today and they sent out her Final Letter Re-K3 on May 12th that will enable her to pay her $350 Visa Fee and then schedule her Interview Appt. In the meantime, NVC received our Final Paperwork for the I-130 from our Immigration Lawyer on May 11th and awaiting approval and an interview appt from them which could take at least several more weeks, if not more. Our NVC Fees adding up to $492 have all been paid already. There is a good chance my wife will receive her K3 letter tomorrow (Philippine time) and then have to decide if we should pay the $350 and schedule our Interview and Medical for the K3 or wait for Final approval from NVC on the I-130 and scheduling from them as well. All I know and care about is being with my wife sooner regardless of the cost involved. I'm hoping for a miracle and that we can continue with the K3 and as she is getting her Medical done and then awaiting a potentially June 17th or 20 appt the Embassy will have the rest of our Paperwork from NVC Re-I-130 and we can switch to the Immigrant Visa at the time of her interview. Is that possible? Please, anyone, share your thoughts and ideas. I will be contacting my Immigration Lawyer today to inform him of the letter that is supposed to be arriving to my wife any day now and see what he thinks. I know she will be able to work right away and also be cheaper waiting for I-130 to go through but I just want my wife here. Our life has been put on HOLD long enough. When I called the Embassy today they said if we already had the appointment letter in hand, we could pay our $350 and they have a June 16th interview appt slot available. In the meantime, scheduling for I-130's are now going for July. HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP

What is your real question... If you want her sooner than later then continue the K-3 route for a June interview and stop paying fees to NVC for the I-130 and a July interview. Or as you said, if the I-130 is on station and the Embassy said that they will do a IR visa instead in June then go that route. Both visas are done in the same unit at the embassy. If they say they can do it then they can do it
