Just to let anyone waiting for an interview in Montreal know I called the Consulate today and here is what was said.

My paperwork was received on Tuesday, September 5 but as of today has still not been processed. The lady on the phone did say that they were booking interviews for October and November right now. So I will wait and call again next Friday to see if I can get my interview date.

Hi Leafgal, we may be in the same boat. Originally, we were hoping for November, but the Embassy copied the postal code wrong, so Package 3 took 18 days to go from Montreal to Toronto! Who knows how much time that may have added...

Well maybe we will be there at the same time, I am going to give it another week and call again since I have seen several members have been able to get a date. I need the date as my employer wants to know when I am leaving, and of course I have to book the medical.

Here is to hoping we both know something soon.

Thanks for the info. I read your post last night and relayed the info to my fiancee and we both got a little worried. She sent her checklist on Sept. 5. We're hoping for a December 9th wedding. After worrying, we prayed about it, knowing everything is in God's hands.

Well I just called Montreal again and they now say 3 to 4 months before an interview. They have the paperwork and I am on a waiting list, ho hum. I told her I called last week and they said October or November and she said they were mistaken. I can only hope she is mistaken and it will be sooner else the revised wedding date will be revised yet again. Good luck to all and drop a line if you hear any other news.

Thanks. I called on Friday and the woman said 4-12 weeks. I'm going to visit Ashley in Ontario this week and she's going to call again on Monday before I elave Tuesday. We're praying to know soon so we can go ahead with wedding plans for December 9. Timing wise, everything has worked out for us with everything(I was away when RFE for IMBRA came which worked out for her to get things more in order). We are hopeful God will allow our plans to succed, but if He doesn't, we'll still praise Him and know He has other plans. As Job said, if we accept good from God, shouldn't we also except the bad? Or something to that effect.

Wow it sure sucks that how long you guys have to wait! I wonder why Vancouver can do it so fast and Montreal is so back logged. I guess it is the same as why CSC is so bad and VSC is so fast.

I spoke with Montreal today and the lady I spoke with said that our interview would possibly be in December, but more likely January, since they're booked solid through November at this point. Considering NVC lost our file for a month and a half after we were reapproved (after being recalled at the Packet 3 stage because of IMBRA), this is a huge disappointment for us. We were essentially promised by Montreal that we'd get an October interview.

I know what you mean it is very disappointing and if I had the money I would move west to Alberta for a bit so I could get a quicker interview in Vancover, but alas I didn't win the 649 so I won't be doing that. I am so disappointed today I can't believe it I really thought I would definately be there for Christmas this year. Oh well it is not to be so I will try to think forward and now give myself some time to get money set aside for when I am not working (that would be the silver lining, ha ha). We can all hope that they will have some cancellations and we can get in sooner. I haven't even booked my medical and now I am glad for that since I am not sure when I will get the interview. Well the beauty of receieving "bad" news from the immigration people is that a lot of time they are incorrect!! So who knows, maybe you will get that interview sooner then you think!! I think sometimes they just roll the dice and tell you whatever comes up, not looking at ur file. Cheers

Add me to your list of waiting for an interview date in Montreal. My husband and I are having a really hard time with this waiting thing! After months of paperwork, $$, this notice, that notice, questions on what do we do next, etc. etc. We are drove nuts! The post office sent us notice that Montreal received our Checklist and first part yesterday - I am praying that they can process it quickly and at least send us something to give us hope again!

I nearly went into cardiac arrest reading this post. I truly hope that they are just covering their butts and we see some much earlier interview dates soon. Good luck to those of you currently waiting for appt. dates.

Wow. Looks like I was lucky then, well, sort of. I received my letter with my interview date about a month ago and I have to wait until October 24th.

Good luck to all who are waiting. Waiting is the hardest part.

Any chairs left in this waiting room? We just returned our checklist and DS230. My concern is driving to Montreal (from New Jersey) in winter. As time stretches on, the train looks better and better.
