Was just wondering if anyone knew anything about children going for the medical. We have a 4 year old daughter coming with me. Does she go through any medical stuff? If so do we pay double the fee? She has all her vaccinations up to date so not worried about that. What about the visa in her passport? do we pay double the visa fee?

Yes she does.

Yes you do pay for each medical.

Excellent point - is the 4 yr old daughter is already a USC (ie your fiancé is her biological dad) she is not part of your VISA application and therefore no medical not fees. She should have her own US passport if she's a USC.

She should be able too if you fiance meets the requirements. I am not sure how to go about it, although there are other people that can.

she has a Canadian passport, didnt think of trying to get her an american one..is it even possible?

Shes born to a USC parent you likely cannot get a VISA for her.

You will need to file a CRBA and for a US passport.

I have a daughter who was born in Canada and her father is a USC. We ended up having to file paperwork for a "child born abroad" which gives her legal status in the States. She got her SSN and US passport through this process. It took a little while (sorry can't remember the exact timeline as it was 3 years ago) but we were able to get it all done at our local US embassy here in Vancouver.

As she is a dual citizen I didn't have to file immigration papers for her (just my older daughter who has a different father).

Hope this helps.
