How long does it take or how sooner have people received a text/email with acknowledgement of receipt of application?

Hi, I had gone to look at our case at www.uscis.gov to see if they had updated our case and I found we had been approved, 1 hour later I received the email notification and a week later the hard copy by mail. Good Luck

I mailed my I-130 on April 5th. April 6th it was received and scanned into their system. I then received an e-mail and text/sms to my phone on April 8th at 6:35 pm. The e-mail and text gave me that the application was received and forwarded to the corresponding service center and the Receipt number.

Yes, it usually takes at least a few days or a week, but don't panic if it takes a little longer than that. I didn't receive my email/text notification until 19 days after my package was received at the Chicago Lockbox. You can keep an eye on your checking account to see if your check was cashed, as that will be a good sign that they've received it at the service center.

That's if check was used as payment. If you used money order, you can't see when it's cashed.

Thanks all. Finally got the text.

My application was received on May 16 and got the text on May 18 at around 5.30 pm. The check cleared on May 19th.
