Hi Everyone,

My fiance has just finished her medical and has a interview with the embassy in Manila on June 13 - I was wondering when the CFO seminar needs to be done?

Can we do it before the interview or is it to be done after she receives approval?

Can anything go wrong during the interview in regards to her medical?

any advise for the following would be appreciated...

She can take the CFO seminar at any time, before or after the interview. After seminar completion, she will receive a certificate; but she has to have the visa in her passport before the CFO will apply the departure sticker in the passport. In other words, after the interview go to the CFO and give them the seminar certificate along with the passport w/visa and they will apply the sticker. You are now ready to head to the airport. I hope I haven't confused you. Good luck.

Other posters here are welcome to correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that most applicants who fail the medical are informed of this fact at the time the medical is given. If they said nothing to your fiancee, then it is more than likely that she passed, and it will not be an issue at the interview. Just my thoughts.

You know whether you pass or fail the Medical on Day 2 . if you come back and your paper is stamped Immunizations (a PASS )--you are good to proceed with the Immunizations . If not stamped with that --then you have to do further tests as required (a NO GO ) . They will tell you on day 2 . Without the medical --you cannot proceed further .

Question:

I was looking at the CFO website and checking what documents are needed. On number 4, it says there "other documents".

What exactly are those other documents? How vague can it get. LOL

Do I need to bring proof of my relationship with my fiance? Or other papers or documents? Help please. :)

To play it safe, have her take everything she has taken to the interview to CFO especially if she goes to the Taft Avenue CFO. They can ask and do ask for things like a copy of any divorce decree, pictures of yoyu and your girl together. If you do not have...no sticker in the passport. Even though a copy of any divorce decrees are needed at the interview, CFO are plan pain in the butts. Go to the CFO in St Marys if you can.

My wife went to SMEF yesterday.

The only documents she had to show were her passport and NSO MC.

She paid 250+400.

After the seminar, she received a certificate of attendance and also another paper to get the CFO stamp.

We're only 1 month into the NOA1 stage but I wanted to take care of everything as soon as possible.

Really? Well, PRISM is nearer.. so I was thinking of going there. But, I can also go to St. Mary's.. It just takes more effort. I will think about it. Thanks for your response, it really helped a lot. Basically, they ask for evidence. GRRRRR.. Will get that done. Thanks :)
