Hi guys, I emailed an embassy in Moscow three times after receiving NOA2 on April 19 , explaining that my fiance's stay in the country epxires June 16th and asking them to make an interview date before the expiration. After that she has to make an exit entry to Russia again. Today I received an email with an interiew date July 12th. It's like adding an insult to 6 monnths NOA2 wait + 1 month for NVC +2 months for an interview. I am just hoping is there a chance to move the interview date closer? Will congressman assistance help in this case?

Thank you in advance

I know people did it in Moscow successfully. I recommend e-mailing them and asking for it. This is the best way. Just be creative in explaining your feelings in the e-mail.

Usually they are very responsive. General mailbox is by far the best and the only one. I know for a fact that several people did expediting without particularly good reason. I suggest contacting springfox here. He did it in Moscow. I know for sure as I went for my fiancee's interview and met his fiancee there as well having interview on the same day.

6 monnths NOA2 wait + 1 month for NVC +2 months for an interview.

That is the normal timeline; that's what you should have expected and could have predicted based on when you first sent in the petition.

Ask but don't get your hopes up too high.

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!
