Hi Everyone,

I thought I would share this story with you for it might be somehow useful or maybe someone would avoid whatever it is that I did wrong

My first interview was for a K-1 Visa on 12 March 2007, where I had two gentelmen from the DHS grilling me and bashing me left and right, the humiliation and racist comments one guy said to me was really unbearable. They actually told me they do not want to send a free loader to the states "mind you, at that time i was working as a senior computer engineer". Anyways, I knew from that point that I will be denied and I posted an inquiry here so that someone give me some hope and someone did, I was told that its a good sign that they kept my passport which I knew later on that it is not good at all, they kept my passport just to make me wait and torture me as long as possible, then many months, faxes, emails and visits later I knew my case was recommended for revocation and when we finally got the letter from the USCIS, the reason for denial was "The case was timed out and that there was no time left for us to do anything".

In July 2009 we got married and filed for the K-3 VISA and my interview was set to March 2010, The interviewer was friendly but then again I went into the loop of waiting emails and we even sent a letter to the state's senator with no luck, then one day and after so many inquiries I was requested for a second interview in Decmber 2010, When i went there the officer took me in a private room and started questioning me about almost everything and then by the time the interview was done he was shocked for what he said, I see a different person than what was originally written in the report from my first interviewers back in March 2007, turns out that they have written the worst things about me and that is why my case was stuck. Then the officer promised me that things will start moving forward from that point on and in a normal pace.

By March 2011 I was requested to renew my medical and police clearances because it has been a year already, and one week later after submitting the requested documents i got the Fedex packet that has my passport open on the IR-1 VISA

I can not tell you enough how happy we were to receive the visa after all the efforts and all what we have been through.

I do wish your cases are going to be a lot easier.
