Does the exact degree name matter for STEM programs eligible for extension?

Among the degree programs added to the STEM list this year is "Geographic Information Science and Cartography." My undergrad degree is in those things, but will appear on my transcript and diploma as simply "Geography." Is this a big deal? It's more a reflection of my school's particular nomenclature than it is of the contents of my degree, but I've never known USCIS to be a spirit-of-the-law type institution. Any insight?

Applying for regular OPT as of now, but it would be useful to know.
