Hang in there.. A lot of applications have taken about 30 days before it was acknowledged.. Goodluck!

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

Timeline

We mailed our AOS packet to Chicago on 28Apr11 via registered mail and the check was cashed 5May11. Then 9 & 10 May, we received 3 NOAs. Biometerics appointment this Friday in Cincinnati.

Our AOS papers have been in a stand still too. Compared to other AOS filers, ours is taking longer. =(

K1 JOURNEY

07/08/2010: I129F mailed via USPS

07/09/2010: CSC Received I129F

07/16/2010: NOA1 Notice Date

07/22/2010: NOA1 Hardcopy Received/Touched

12/04/2010: NOA2 Hardcopy Received

12/06/2010: Case forwarded to US Embassy in Manila/ Received MNL case#

12/29/2010: First day of Medical Exam at St. Luke's Medical

01/07/2011: Visa Interview Scheduled/Visa approved!

01/21/2011: K1 VISA delivered and on hand on at 11:00AM!

01/24/2011: CFO Seminar completed!

02/15/2011: POE LAX!

03/26/2011: Finally Wedding!

AOS JOURNEY

05/09/2011: AOS, AP, and EAD mailed via USPS Express Mail

05/10/2011: Delivered and Received at 10:13 AM. Signed by S B.

05/18/2011: Check Cashed

05/23/2011: NOA1 for AOS, EAD, and AP Received

07/12/2011: EAD, and AP Received in Mail

09/22/2011: AOS Interview Date. Passed w/ flying colors.

Actually, you are within the time frame.

It can take a few days to a little over a month to receive the official receipt (NOA)

Ours took about 31 days

  • AOS Status
  • 03-10-11 Day 00 = AOS FedEx overnight
  • 03-11-11 Day 01 = AOS at Chicago Lockbox FedEx Confirmation
  • 04-11-11 Day 32 = AOS Text/eMail Confirmation
  • 04-14-11 Day 35 = NOA (EAD & AOS)
  • 04-15-11 Day 36 = Bio-Metrics NOA
  • 05-10-11 Day 61 = Bio-Metrics Appointment
  • 05-17-11 Day 68 = Submitted Request to Correct Name on 485 & 765
  • 05-23-11 Day 74 = Status online shows I-765 (EAD) Approved
  • 06-02-11 Day 84 = EAD arrived in the mail
  • 06-02-11 Day 84 = Went to SSA office (name wrong on Master Immigration List)
  • 06-12-11 Day 95 = InfoPass to correct name
  • 06-12-11 Day 95 = SSA office again Pending name update
  • 06-??-11 Day ?? = Received Social Security Card
  • 08-03-11 Day 146 = AOS Interview

It took like Over a month for my checks to clear.

My lawyer called immigration to see what was wrong, first they could t find my name or papers in the system ( I freaked out needless to say), a week or so after the checks cleared n things started moving.

Then I got the noa and the biometrics letter all together, be patient, things ll be fine.
