Hello all,

as we all know VSC is really slow, but I got a reminder letter to file i-751 from VSC. However, the letter was first sent to my old address(off course) and the post office returned the letter back to VSC because my mail forwarding service was expired and then VSC sent the reminder letter to my current address based on the info provided by the post office on the returned label. Now, VSC is asking me to file AR-11 again which i did it a year ago.

I need some advise from the members regarding what to do. BTW, I will be sending my I-751 next week Monday

Thank you all

In your I-751 mailing, enclose a copy of the AR-11 that was sent a year ago (you kept a copy, right?) with a copy of the VSC's request for it, and either a brief cover-note or just a handwritten line on it that says "Here's the AR-11, filed last year, that you apparently didn't have record of."

Did you receive an acknowledgment after you originally sent the AR-11?

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Wrong advice, there's a separate mailing address for AR-11, the copy is for the applicant's record only, never mail AR-11 to CSC or VCS, AR-11 either have to be filled online or by mail at:

U.S Department of Homeland Security

Citizenship and Immigration Services

Attn: Change of Address

1344 Pleasants Drive

Harrisonburg, VA 22801

It sounds like things are beyond that point. Read the OP's message carefully:
Now, VSC is asking me to file AR-11 again which i did it a year ago.
If the OP filed it properly to begin with (and the instructions on the form are clear), then VSC may have overlooked the information. This is the reason for including a copy of that AR-11 in the I-751 filing. The OP said nothing about having filed the AR-11 incorrectly a year ago. Edited by TBoneTX

I had file AR-11 properly, and still I was receiving things from USCIS through our old address, the ROC reminder letter was mailed to us at our old address, years after filling AR-11 online. I received something from them stating to fill out AR-11 again, so I fill it and mail it to an address they listed on the form in London, KY.

My point was not to send AR-11 with ROC application, I was suggesting the OP to mail AR-11 to the address listed in my first post, and putting the new address on the I-751 should suffice. That's what we did and everything comes to our new address.

They probably do have a record of the AR-11, but USCIS is a big bureaucracy, and one hand doesn't always know what the other is doing. If you have confirmation of the AR-11 filing, then I'd say don't worry about it. If you don't have confirmation, you should probably file it again, just to be safe.
