that's all the senator and congressman came up with?! the same BS that they told you when you called yourself?!

i couldn't pretend to know how you're feeling right now since i'm going through the process with my wife and daughter here in Philippines. i'm amazed though at how you seem to be handling yourself compared to others. (even though it's painfully obvious it's a miserable existence at the moment.) i'm sure they dropped the ball with your paperwork and just feeding you BS to try to save face. hopefully they get their act together and get you out of there and through NVC in a hurry. your Oct-Nov Team is still here rootin for ya!

thank you ..im trying to take it one day at a time..im frustrated don't get me wrong..but i do have the option of living there..even though i take care of my mom my sister will do it..because of the circumstances but i have gotten upset about the american dream..i thought it was for everyone especially usc and if you did it legally everything goes right..boy was i naive..lol...I agree with you I think they dropped the ball also with the paperwork when i call and talked to tier 2 person I got umm its in normal processing and you should hear something soon...like they couldn't figure out why its taking so long.. :bonk: thanks for rootin for me..my husband is taking it well plus he is putting up with me crying and clingy.. poor guy has the patience of job as they say...lol

Channah & Aaron, I feel your frustration and I mostly feel your pain and anguish. I am curious to know what the response to your service request was. I turned in a service request that said we were in backgroud checks and if we didn't hear something in 180 days, inquire again. I am a November filer.

If I had gotten something reasonable, like we apologize for the delay, we will check into the situation and if you do not hear something with 30 days, please feel free to contact us again. I would have believed that, but the one I got is unbelievable. A person waits over 6 months and then they are told to wait another 6 months and inquire again.

You, me, and the others are not alone in this. We deserve to be treated better than this because this is our life and our time together. We are important.

Hang in there and keep us posted as we will you.

I pray you hear today and this pain ends for you.

Nope, I did not get an RFE. I wish I had. At least I would feel like they were working on the application.

I only know of a handful of us that I have gotten a reply like that to a service request.

Marjus's girl, My husband has cried right along with me. I told him that one of us has to be strong. I think it makes it so hard when you see the person you love in such pain and you can not even give them a hug.

But like you said, we will be with them soon one way or the other.

Rooting for you to get yours soon. I will be so happy for you.

It's so true. Everytime my fiance says "I just want to come home", it breaks my heart. :( I miss him more every day and just can't wait until this is all behind us. Stay strong. :star:

We filed Oct 15, 2010, got a NOA March 31st.

I think some background checks take longer then others and that may make a difference.

Some cases are cut and dried other's more complicated.

Patience is really a good thing to have I keep telling myself, it just makes life easier on myself and others.

My family and firends are more confused then I feel.

Somewhere in this forum are Q & A's from a former NVC employee, I read it and found it very helpful.

Let's be nice to each other even though we are all stressed.

:-)

Hang in there everyone, good things come to those who wait......

Very good advice Margie and Doug,

I think I lost it when I waited 6 months and then was told I might have to wait another 6 months.

But I seem to always feel the disappointment on Mondays more than any other day when that precious NOA2 doesn't come.

Looking forward to the moment that it does.
