I am not sure why I should cut Betsy some slack. She has no compassion for the pain the rest of us are going through. We are in pain and she says it is the price we pay for marrying someone from another country. She says we might have to wait years. No encouragement there.

Sorry you don't want to hear the truth. Doesn't mean I am not compassionate to others who are waiting. I have friends who are waiting right now and have no idea when they may get approved. You need to get over yourself and be open to hearing the experiences before your own. They might actually shed some light on what the future holds for you.

A moderator should move this to the appropriate thread. This is the K1, not CR1 thread. Some K1 filers might wonder why some people are talking about marriage/wedding/years of process on a K1 thread. I got confused for a while... :)

I am really at the end of my patience. We get these stupid excuses as to why we that received our NOA1's in November and December have not yet received our NOA2's. It is just so hard to believe any excuse when you see people that received their NOA1 in January being approved. I am so happy for them because they will not have to go through the frustration we are going through, but it just doesn't seem right. And the excuse that we are not being approved because of the country our spouses are from is BS. I have seen others processed in shorter times from high terrorists countries. :bonk::bonk::bonk::bonk::bonk:

It really isn't about patience anymore. It is about having your hands tied behind your back and not knowing what the future will bring. I actually feel like I am waiting to see if the governor gives me a pardon or my life gets blown to bits.

I feel for each one of you in this situation. After 5 months I started making noise, first with my state rep and then with the senator's office. I found the best move was to keep calling USCIS and ask to speak to a supervisor--will take many calls. Eventually I was connected to a supervisor who actually was the best help of all. She took my case number and told me she would research and get answers to me-2 days later I was approved. Definitely get you rep and Sen involved. Good Luck to you all

I have a vision of our files sitting on someone's kitchen table with jelly or syrup all over them or the dog is running around with them in his mouth. Scary thought but they do contract some of the files out to those who work at home.:help::help::help:

This image made me picture the following Monday morning when the officer walks in and sees his boss.

Boss: So how did the weekend go? Did you finally catch up on all those visa applications you've been behind on lately...?

Officer with hands behind his back, head bent down, rocking back and forth like a naughty school boy: Well.... You see.... My dog ate the visa application forms.....

Boss: Well Sh*t!

This is so very sad that we come to this website to get words of encouragement and help and instead we hurt one another. There are alot of ugly unfair truths in this world, but as a friend and a compassionate human being I always try to offer words of encouragement not worse case scenerio. A friend comes to me that has cancer, I do not tell them, "Well the truth is many people get cancer and many of them die." I tell my friend that there are great doctors out there and wonderful caring people that can help them through this and that if they keep a positive fighting spirit they can fight this cancer. I tell them about the many people I know that have fought cancer and are living healthy normal lives now. If no one offerred words of encouragement this would be a very sad and lonely world.

I stand by my opinion that is totally wrong to make loving couples that are not terrorists wait years to be with their fiances or spouses. And I do not understand why or how it take years to find out if someone is a terrorists.

I have contacted USCIS several times. I have contacted my senator. I will keep doing everything I can to be with the one I love. Life is too short to be robbed of so much time with the one you love.

Best wishes to everyone here on VJ.

As opposed to the terrorists that should have to wait years?? :) I understand your pain and I hope to not go through the same fate. The unfortunate facts is that there are millions and millions of immigrants here and hundreds of thousands in the queues waiting on the process to get in and an overall populace that is not overly sympathetic to the cause. Delays are inevitable. Even with the large number of denials and delays I think I read that around 30% of what gets through is still fraud.

I really would like to understand the process the USCIS uses.. I picture many many small queues based on a person/department and not a large universal queue that everyone draws from.. So if the person who’s stack of papers yours is in goes on vacation for two weeks you fall back two weeks.

I don't believe it.. Prove it to me and I still won't believe it. -Ford Prefect

that's all the senator and congressman came up with?! the same BS that they told you when you called yourself?!

i couldn't pretend to know how you're feeling right now since i'm going through the process with my wife and daughter here in Philippines. i'm amazed though at how you seem to be handling yourself compared to others. (even though it's painfully obvious it's a miserable existence at the moment.) i'm sure they dropped the ball with your paperwork and just feeding you BS to try to save face. hopefully they get their act together and get you out of there and through NVC in a hurry. your Oct-Nov Team is still here rootin for ya!
