Yeah that's what I though. You can't really blame them for keeping a tight security with everything going on in the world, it's just sad that it has to be like this. There's basically no way for us to see each other, before she gets her passport or her naturalization, and at the point, with our current situation, I doubt there will be an "us" which makes me incredibly sad.

First and foremost you have to decide what's more important; seeing each other rightaway or being together *for good*. A tourist visa is a possibility but you're still running the risk of being turned down at POE.

Basically I understand your heartache, and distance does not get any easier. I haven't seen my fiance since November since I've already spent close to 10K on trips and the K1 while my fiance's doing some saving at the same time(AOS, buying a house etc.) - niether of us won the jackpot or born wealthy. If you're saving up now for the citizenship I'd really really really advise you to do the math - in the first babysteps of immigration you'll come to see they care about your passport stamps, your fiancee's citizenship and affidavit of support as primary evidence of your relationship.

Nobody here is trying to give you a hard time about your relationship but we do have the benefit of having been where you're at; in the beginning and you have the benefit of gaining so much knowledge about the process even before getting started which hopefully will contribute to your situation so you know where to begin to make it a much smoother journey. Not for our sake, but for yours.

Look... Bob... things are very tense and hard here these days, and I am truly sorry if I offended you in any way. It was absolutely not my intention, and I appreciate all your help. You just hit me in a incredibly soar spot, and it affected me deeply. It wasn't fair to take it out on you. I'm sorry.

No need to apologize, really.

As I said: I've been there, done that, got the T-Shirt...

Trust me when I say as big a problem/issue this may seem like today it really isn't. Unfortunately for you you're in the moment so it's very hard to look past it.

I don't know anything about your relationship beyond what you've posted here but honestly if it's one that's worth your effort & time then it will endure this hardship. If not then I can only hope that you somehow grow from the experience.

If you want to get through this as quick as possible then I would suggest having her get an account here and file for naturalization ASAP. That's your only sure-fire route to your next face-to-face. In the meantime, yes you can apply for a tourist visa but they can turn you away for the exact same reasons they'd use on a VWP entry attempt.
