Yellow Envelope from Kiev Embassy

Hello Everyone!

My Fiance and her son received their passports with K1 and K2 Visas and two yellow envelopes. The envelopes are sealed with a stamp. However both envelopes are missing a corner. It looks like they were cut with scissors not torn. The documents are not cut but sticking out the corner. Is this normal? Should I call the embassy? They have two weeks before they depart for the United States. Could this create a problem at the Port of Entry when they inspect the documents? Please help.....

This is normal. These envelopes are turned in at the POE & will be transfered to the USCIS office where the AOS meeting is held at a later date.

No worries!! same thing happened to us last year, I panicked, took a pic of the envelope and e-mailed it to the embassy asking if this was normal or if someone tampered with it. I don't know the reason for it, but its normal and that is how the envelopes are sent to you. Good Luck!
