They entered my fiance's name wrong at the POE. How do i fix this? Now the social security card that we applied for will have the wrong name and we probably can't get the marriage license until the right name on the social security card is issued. what a PAIN!

You have to go to the Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) deferred inspection site to get a corrected I-94. And, yes, it is a pain to have to do it but, other than the inconvenience, it really wasn't bad at all. Then, the SS Card can be issued in the correct name.

We went back to the office near the POE because it is our local one but I'm fairly certain you can go to the one closest to you. In our case, it wasn't in the airport but in an office park next to it.

Many people POE far, far from where they live. Give the local office a call. They can tell you. Don't worry, it will be fixed.
