i'd say yes. i think this is after you get your visa and you're in the us and they're ready to send the gc n ss# to you. someone correct me if im wrong

You can click yes, but it is unreliable. You should go to the SSN office shortly after his arrival to expedite the process of being issued an SSN

I said yes, and plan to go to the SS office if it doesn't show up after a good while. Others might have more pro/con info for you. I suspect those that want it faster might do better in person? But that's only my guess at this point. We aren't there yet! :

My husband marked "yes" on his. For some people they get their card shortly after their arrival in the U.S. and others don't so they have to go to the offices. It just depends on your luck.

We checked off the box but I still went to the local office three weeks after my POE; had my card 6 days later.

What if checked "No" and go to the local Social Security office and do it that way? Is this faster than the DS-230 application form?

YOu SS is your LIve is your US ID With out you cant get Credit W.out Credit you cant survive .
