hi everyone just wanna ask something that confuses me a lot, I am a wife of a LPR, petitioning me through I-130.. I read much in this forum that it took 3 to 4 years before the whole process ends..is this true? because someone in US told us visa's availability also depends where the petitioner lives... if the petitioner lives in country that has a high demand of visa's availability for a designated place for example California-Philippines that's the time it took so long for the visa to be available.. my husband lives in a place where only few are from Philippines friends told us it matters because of the demand and supply of visa(no need to wait for visa's availability because of the less demand for Philippines in my hubby's place).. I don"t know if this is true or should i stick viewing visa bulletin and keep on hoping..

LPR takes a very long time to petition for a spouse.

USC does not.

Can your husband become a USC soon? if so then you will be able to notify USCIS and have your petition changed from LPR to USC.

Spouse of an LPR is a single slow line. 3-5 years . Siblings is where the demand makes a big difference. It isn't about the number of any people in an area of the US . It is about how many people in your country want to come compared to the whole world.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Where the petitioner lives is irrelevant. It only matters where the beneficiary lives. The cutoff date for FB2A for the Philippines is the same, no matter where in the US the petitioner lives.
