We are applying for AOS for my wonderful bride from a K1 visa.

we have assembled our packet and reviewed it but have questions:

we married within 30 days and are filing within 45 days,

the embassy was Moscow.

1. send to Texas lock box ? - we are in Tennessee.

2. fee for our I-485 ?

3. We are asking for adv parole to travel in August, and have the $360 fee ready for this.

do we send in my wife's passport with the application ?

Hi, there is a guide on my signature to help you!

There is no need to pay an extra fee for AP, just file it together with the AOS packet and with some luck you should have it before August. If not, you can file for an emergency advance parole by making an infopass appointment and explaining your case.

Send it to the Chicago lockbox.

Do NOT send her passport in.

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

Thank you, VJ! smile.png

The cost for AOS is 1070$ Total.

You do not send your AP later. You send it WITH the AOS. There is no 360$ fee for AP.

You send it all to chicago lock box. You may want to go back to the guides and instructions and have another read of them, everything is clearly stated including the cost and the location of filing.

Use the VJ guides as well as the USCIS form instructions and pages.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

There's an AOS guide in my signature that explains it all.

1. No. It doesn't bode well that you don't know where to file because it's in the instructions so you may have missed something else

2. Also in the instructions. $1070

3. You send in the AP and EAD together with AOS and the fee for them is waived.

NO! Do not send her passport in. Please read the thread in my signature and also the form instructions again.

Ummm is there a separate fee for the work permit or something?

never mind i found the answer

Please note that, if you file Form I-485 to adjust your status as a permanent resident on or after July 30, 2007, no additional fee is required to also file an application for employment authorization on Form I-765 and/or advance parole on Form I-131. You may file these forms together.
