to move? We are wanting to live in a different state. We got Bahadir a job already in the new state. But I want to go and get settled before he comes. So once we get our NOA2 I am preparing move. Will all I need to do is put in the address change...It wont hinder anything right?

SO much to do before he is here and we have set our wedding date as September 10th....so between now and then I am hoping to get the moving out of the way!

As far as I understand it you contact the USCIS for any address change, https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=coa can do it here. Also as I understand it this will not affect anything in the process is just for their contacting procedures, make sure it is changed on his paperwork that he is taking to the embassy

I moved when I was in the waiting stage of NOA2. I went to my profile on the USCIS website and submitted it online. Within 3 days they hardcopied me a snail mail (us post). My NOA2 came just after this and to the correct address without a glitch.

However, in your situtation unless you have your new address, just wait until you have new residence and then submit change of address before your packet goes to embassy.

So, it's not a big deal, you can always call and ask the USCIS office if you're uncertain.

Michelle, did you read the USCIS official website or call them before you posted this? It's right on their front page.

LOL........... Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzy! C'mon Chelle, get with the program, because that Packet 3 is really comprehensive and you do not want Bahadir to go into AP because that really can take 4-6 mos MORE. READ EVERYTHING over and over and over, again!

Have you started it? If not, DO IT NOW --- it really takes time this file and if Bahadir's English is not up to par, then you'll probably want to help with this file so he won't miss a thing. BE SURE on this packet, it's not the same as if it was at the USCIS.... this one is for the Interview!

Well at least Bahadir hasn't been on a different US Bases in 4 different countries, all of which I had to have precise info on... plus K's Army info to boot! Thank God I did not have to 'try" to obtain Police Records from those places (US Exempt). I have written and re-written his documents to be sure a FEW times. I am finally finished and now just putting K's exact duplicate file in order. Then all he has to do is sign and then add all pages of his Passport, update his Police Archive in Adana... and SEND UPS to Ankara! Whew! What a ride. Thing is? He was suppose to leave base last Sunday... I think now he'll be till this Friday? Not sure. Sheesh!

Use a checklist to make sure you have everything.

Ms. Sassy! lol

I got the Embassy letter (Hardcopy) early on and I have copy of this in his file I'm sending today. They'll give a K1 the interview date as soon as they get his file UPS from him to them. I have to get this file out today because it's going to take 5 days to Adana.
