I have my passport, ssn card, and marriage certificate. Can i get an ID photo card? I live in the state of nj. Could i also use my receipt forms when they come in the mail for one?

You Need Your EAD along with all those documents....i got mine the same day i went, but brace yourself for a long wait.....and be sure to have all your documents ready.....go to the DMV and get a brochure with the 6point ID for non-citizens, and see what they ask for so you are prepared.

They took my ssn, my marriage certificate, EAD AND proof of address.....once you have all of those you are good to go....not so sure about the country ID...if you are talking about your passport i think so. Once you get the brochure you will know what to take with you.

Hi, I am not sure what I say here would help you as I am from CA, but I advise you to read the DMV website of NJ thoroughly or the brochure if they have one to obtain a ID card. I think the requirement can be different based on which state you live. The one in CA was very complicated, and I had such a hard time getting a driver's permit. I am not sure about Country's ID. (You mean passport?)

Good luck!![ :star: /size]

Normally you need proof of legal immigration status in the US and the photo id or Driver's License is issued for the same length of duration as the immigration document is valid. You can use your passport as photo id for now if you need it, but will most likely have to wait until you get your EAD before you can get a state issued photo ID card.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
