Just a question with the AOS processing guys. I sent my application on mail last April 28 and they got it May 2. Then they sent me 3 text message saying that they have it! but no email for me... May 6, I got my NOA for EAD and AP nothing for the AOS. Then today May 14, I got a mail from USCIS for my biometrics appointment on June 1...My question is...do I get a separate biometrics for the EAD and AOS? should I still be expecting for another biometrics appointment? Am I clear now for any RFE? Thanks guys and hope for your respond :)

How many receipt numbers are written on the biometrics letter? I have two in mine.. I have seen others who got 2 biometrics letters too though :)

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

We only did 1 biometrics for both EAD and AOS. But the EAD card and green card came in separate mailings on different days. Printed at different places I guess. Our experience is you will not get another appointment, both EAD on AOS are done at the same appointment.

You are not 100% clear of RFE's, but at this stage RFE's are quite rare.

It is possible to have two separate biometrics appointments, although rare. And usually when you go to the first appointment you can bring the 2nd biometrics letter and they can stamp both. In this case, we need to check if Krissy has actually been given a receipt number for her AOS, because as of now it looks like she only has the one for her EAD. But since its still for June 1st, I'm pretty sure you will have your NOA1 for AOS by then and you can probably do both..

At my biometrics appointment they did not stamp both letters, but I did write both receipt numbers(EAD and AOS)om the form I filled out there and it was entered into the computer along with my other details. I only had to do one biometrics appointment. Was there a receipt number in the text message you received?

Goodluck!

I looked into my biometrics appointment and at the very bottom of the letter it has two application number (1) is for the I485 (2) is for I765 so I guess that's for my AOS and EAD right? They sent me three text message with my receipt number on it so I assume that one of it is for my AOS. I was just wondering why mine is different from the others :P
