Thanks for your reply. Here are my answers to your questions so you can further guide me:

1. At the present time I do have possession of the US address I last provided to USCIS

2. I have not filed a "Change of Address form" as of now because I have not moved yet. However, we will be residing abroad when we are eligible to file for Removal of Conditions

The question again is:

Is it okay to list a Foreign Address on the I-751 Form if we are residing abroad due to military orders? or Do we need to provide an Address in the US?

Yes, please use the foriegn address, as you can then be able to use the provisions under exception. As per exceptions, you will be able to send two passport photos and two finger print forms (FD-258) for the immigrant spouse to get the biometrics without having to travel back to US (read the last para of page 1 and para 1 of page 2 of I-751 instructions). The finger print cards need to be prepared at US Embassy or Consulate or US Military Installation near you. In order to identify filing based on military, you will have to indicate "ACTIVE MILITARY" on top of the I-751 form.

A few quick questions. I recieved my GC after entering the US on a K-1 visa. My 2 year GC that I recieved is expiring in Oct/2013. The question that I have is;

Will I receive a 10yr GC after I file for renewal or will I receive an extension?

First you will receive an extension letter (called NOA) for 1 year (Oct/2014), to cover the period of I-751 process. This you will use along with your existing GC for any needs. Then once your I-751 is approved, you will get a new 10 year GC.

HELP!! Me and my husband just sent in our entire I-751 packet and left out the payment check. We are both so freaked out!! I am wondering what we should do. Should we wait to see if they just send it back? I mailed it priority (2-3 days) and I am wondering if I should overnight the check by itself with a letter explaining the situation and hope that it gets there before the packet. Does anyone have any idea what is the best thing to do??

The application without payment will be returned. It is best to send a new set (since all are copies) with payment to save time.

Just curious to know if you sent any original/s in your application!

Hi Everyone,

I am getting ready to drop off my package for i751 on Monday. Is it ok to use sticky notes on copies of bank statements, utility bills etc to explain/mention date and what that document is?

Hi All,

I have a silly question and I hope you guys can help me out. We sent our ROC package on the 10th of June and received the NOA on June 14th.

In the NOA it said that I will be receiving a letter for my bio-metrics appointment. My question is: Does that mean that we have been approved for the 10y GC? Can we get an RFE after we've recieved our NOA?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Your NOA1 will serve as one year extension of your GC... You did not have approval (NOA2)

The bio-metrics appt is to support your ROC and then, you need to wait for couple of months for your 10 year GC approval.

What are the conditions imposed by the conditional green card? What can you do and not do?

The rules are the same for the 2 and 10 year greencard. The difference is that with the 2 year one, you have to Remove Conditions- ie prove you have a bonafide relationship- once again.

Never thought on this. Hopefully someone who received his/her GC will answer it for us. My guess is that it will have 10 years validity from the initial issue date, as this is a condition that is being removed - meaning new GC will get extended by 8 years.
