How long do you think is my waiting for that?

I applied at CSC in May and it took about a month after I got my NOA to get my Biometrics letter. If you check the November Filers timeline you can have an idea of how long it's going to take:

Hi everyone,

Just a quick question, if you don't mind:

I (er, we) will be filing our I-751 in the next month or so (as my CR expires early March of next year). My green card and our marriage certificate are in my maiden name (married in Quebec where a name change takes ages) however all of my US identification (SSN, driver's license, pay stubs, loans, etc.) show my married name.

Which name should I put in Part 1 if I'd like my green card (permanent resident) to be under my married name going forward? Is there an additional form I'll need or fee I'll need to pay?

Thanks so much.

Fill out the ROC form in the name you want on the GC--I.E. your married name. The marriage certificate is the form they will use to make the name change. You have one last chance to do a name change for free and that is at the naturalization stage.

Good luck,

Dave

Hi everyone. I have some questions regarding I-751 filling. My conditional GC will expire on may 28th 2013.

Q1. Looking at other threads, it seems like they issue you biometrics appointment close to 1 month from the day they receive the packet. I have a conference to attend in the mid of April so in case if I miss my biometrics, can I reschedule it or just show up early? Will this have any major impact on my application?

Q2. I know what to send as evidence of bonafide marriage, do I need to include pics? I have joint bank account, credit cards, mortgage, baby who was born 6 months ago, insurance, my spouse and the baby are also my beneficiaries. Phone bill, car etc. do you guys think pics becomes important in this case? Also, do I need to send

all these docs for the past 2 years ( or copies of last 6-12 month will suffice)

Most Important question:

ICE had filed deportation because my student visa was expired for like 5 months and we were gathering docs to file for AOS. I was called to their office and they had put handcuffs on me. I was there for like 3 hours and in the end, they let me go not before putting me in removal conditions( before my visit to their office, I had already sent my AOS packet like 4 days prior). Anyhow, after the torturous time and wait, I was issued GC thru USCIS and they dropped the removal charges.

My question is, in the form, it ask for " have you ever been arrested ....." And I will put yes. I will write an explanation for it but SHOULD I also send the Removal documents with the application, even though the charges were dropped before I received my GC.

I understand these might be a lot of questions for you guys but please try to answer them as many as possible. Regarding the last question, can anybody relate to my story or if you know somebody who have gone through the same situation. It's a little tricky but if I had the finances, I would've hired a lawyer. Last experience was horrible with the lawyer.

Thanking in advance!

Hi everybody!!! I need advice! Me and my husband after marriage moved to his mom's house, so we don't have any lease agreement and we don't have any bills (electric, water) but we have a lot of joint documents:

Car insurance (both cars)

Car title (both cars)

Medical bills

Gym membership

Costco membership

Taxes

Credit cards pictures.....etc

We send mom's letter where she wrote that we really live at her house, she signed it and we did so??? If I'll get RFE what should I send then??

Joint lease and utility show evidence of living together. Since you attached your mother's letter, you should be fine but if you still get RFE, then get notarized affidavits from your mom, dad and may be a nieghbor for the proof of your marraige, which emphasize that you are living with your parents.

There is nothing like a stupid question - you can send out your I-751 application 90 days before the expiry date on your Green Card and not a day earlier, as it will then be rejected. Use this link and enter the GC expiry date to get the date on or after which you can send your application - http://www.uscis.gov/dateCalculator.html.

As per the experience of many, affidavits are not a great evidence, unless you have a sitution, where they would be suitable. It is better to have affidavits from someone living in US rather than someone who is visiting but if you can't get the former than go for the later.

When filling out the I-751 Form under the "Address" section, is it necessary to list a US address? How about if I'm stationed overseas and living my wife (GC holder removing conditions)? or Is it okay to list the foreign address?

1. Do you still have possession of the US address you last provided to USCIS?

2. Have you filed AR-11/ I-865 for change of address, if you have moved?

3. The above 2 questions become relevant if you are thinking about giving foriegn address under "Address".

4. "Mailing Address" could be any address other than your address where you would like to receive your correspondence fro USCIS.

Thanks for your reply. Here are my answers to your questions so you can further guide me:

1. At the present time I do have possession of the US address I last provided to USCIS

2. I have not filed a "Change of Address form" as of now because I have not moved yet. However, we will be residing abroad when we are eligible to file for Removal of Conditions

The question again is:

Is it okay to list a Foreign Address on the I-751 Form if we are residing abroad due to military orders? or Do we need to provide an Address in the US?
