congrats! Looks like they gave you CR-1 applicants much earlier interview dates than the K-1 applicants. The earliest date I could get was August 3rd. At least I have something now though!

For me, its kind of over, but not quite. I was silly enough to believe that the whole process would only take 6 months no problem, so I'd already booked flights for my fiancee and I to go to Hawaii on the 8th of August. Seeing as her interview isn't until the 3rd, the chances of having the visa in-hand in time are slim. I'm going to try for an earlier appointment, but I'm pretty much resigned to not being able to make that flight. Oh well, I guess thats what I get for making plans!

Ahh that is too bad. I was trying to plan a party of sorts so we could renew our wedding vows but had to keep putting that off. Our 1st anniversary is June 18 so now the party will have to be in July. At least now with a date I can plan (almost scared to tho, thinking something will change or go wrong somewhere). Can you rebook the trip to Hawaii??? say in two or three weeks after the interview so you can be sure her passport is in hand??

Aww, that's too bad about not being back in time to spend your first anniversary together! We've both got dates that just a little too late!!

I'm pretty sure I can rebook the trip, but the problem is, my final term of law school starts on the 15th of August. So I might just have to reschedule for Thanksgiving or Christmas. Could be worse!

If you got a medical on the 27th would you get the results in time for Wed?

I want to spend the least amount of time in Montreal, I can spend money better

elsewhere than a hotel.I hope to book my appt soon, I am sending my K1 packet 3 tomorrow.

Have a great day,

Lise

I don't think that's the case. I'm going through for IR-1 and I booked my interview back in late March and got an July 12 date. I've been trying since then to refresh to get an earlier date and no luck. I went thru DCF which is *supposed* to be faster but I put through my paperwork in the beginning of September 2010. Oh well, I'm just glad to be getting closer!

I don't know Lise. I am phoning the medical place tomorrow morning and asking all that. It would be great if I can get the medical on MOnday and have results for Weds interview. Hate to have to spend a weekend there alone as well as the following three days. Will let you know.
