DS-230 - Evidence of Bonafide Marriage ?

IR1/ CR1 Gurus out here,

Do we need to send in any documents showing evidence of bonafide marriage like ( wedding pics, travel pics ) etc along with DS-230 apart from the marriage certificate. Is this only required to be taken by the beneficiary at the time of interview or does it help to have it send along with DS-230. I had submitted few artifacts including proof of travel together while filing the I-130 petition, but did not provide any pics.

Apart from the originals of civil docs , is there anything else we should be submitting along with DS-230? Appreciate your guidance and thoughts.

We didn't submit any evidence of bonafide marriage to NVC, I saved it all for the interview

Double up and add some more .Sometimes they dont get all the documents from the USCIS.

You will also need all copies for the interview

Remember NVC want original Certficates

is better than to get a REF on this stage .

You can request orriginals back at the embassy

Good Luck

You only need to send the documents listed on their instructions:

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3195.html

You should include a photocopy of every original document you send so that you can get your originals back during the interview. You can also write your NVC case number on the upper right hand corner of every document you send to them to make sure everything stays together, but that's optional.

Everything you have sent to USCIS will have been forwarded to NVC, so there is no need to double up on anything unless it's one of the documents specifically asked for in the instructions. Your entire file (everything you've sent to USCIS and NVC) will then be forwarded to the embassy/consulate.

To the interview, you can bring some more evidence of a bona fide marriage and, to be safe, copies of everything you've already sent. This is really just a precaution and most likely unnecessary, but I know of someone who went to their interview this week, and NVC had somehow not sent along his police certificate and I-864. NVC's fault, but he didn't have extra copies with him, so he was delayed by having to get those docs couriered back to the embassy.
