After Case received by the embassy

Hi gang,

I emailed to the embassy in Rio, Brazil and they received my case this Tuesday. They said that they will send out Packet 3 next week. But you know, I am kind of restless. As soon as my girl receives the packet 3 from them, I want to have everything ready to mail the same day.

From what I have read, I need my girl to prepare the following in an envelop.

1. DS-230 Part 1

2. DS-2001

3. One copy of the passport that shows personal information

4. One American style passport photo

Does it sound right to you guys? Anyone from Brazil send out their packet 3 this month? What did you guys send back to the embassy? I want to get all these done this weekend. Thank you!!!!!

Thanks Mew. I just want to make sure because sometimes it seems that the information on the embassy website is outdated. For example, they are asking three federal tax return on the website. However, during the Interview, they only ask for one. So I just want to confirm that's what people send to the embassy.

You have a few things that need to be done. You can check the U.S. embassy web site for Brazil and get a lot of useful information there. She will also be needing a packet 4 before she attends the interview. That involves a medical exam, police report and documents that you will send to her.

You should find it quite helpful. You are getting pretty close on this. So, do all the things that you need and wait a little longer. Also, it will be helpful to check out the embassy information on this site for timelines of her processing through the U.S. Embassy in Brazil.
