Hi,

I entered on my K1 visa on Tuesday, I handed the immigration officer my I-94 card and he gave me back two parts of the I-94. Am I suppose to have two parts of it? Last time I entered on a I-94 for (on a tourist visa), I only have one part of the I-94 handed back for my passport.

Thanks in advance for the replies.

what are these two parts? the immigration officer will detach the smaller portion of the form and staple it into your passport, while he will keep the bigger portion. Unless they recently changed the form, there are no other parts.

Sorry about the duplicate posts...computer went a little nuts. The two parts were the Arrival record and the second was the departure record and I guess he kept the other part. I know we are suppose to have the departure record, but I don't know why I have the arrival record aswell. On the back he wrote my fiances name and then just handed it to me.

I only received the departure record part, the one where on one side there's your name and DOB, and on the other side you're supposed to write the mean of transportation used to depart. This is the smaller of the two parts of the form. I believe that the other part should remain with the immigration officer, because from what I know there are no other parts. The only other form that I can think of is the customs one, where you declare what you're bringing into the US, but that has nothing to do with the immigration process. But I entered a year ago, so maybe in the meantime they changed the forms and now the new version looks different.

I would keep the second part with your passport, in case there is ever a question. I think the some one goofed.
