Call NVC at (603) 334-0700 and use the Automated Voice Response (AVR) system to get your number. It could take as little as a few days or as much a few weeks after your NOA2 for your case to be entered into the system and assigned a number. You'll follow some voice prompts (don't worry, you'll memorize the series of numbers that you need to enter in no time), and you need to have your USCIS receipt number. Once you have your NVC case number, call back and speak to an operator and give them your email addresses (petitioner and beneficiary) and ask for your invoice identification number.

I get NVC case # by email :

The NVC’s e-mail address is NVCINQUIRY@state.gov.

E-mail is the NVC’s preferred method of communication.

Note: Use your personal e-mail account to contact the NVC. If you click on the email address above and your computer does not automatically connect to your personal email, copy and paste the above e-mail address into an e-mail using your personal e-mail account.

In order to ensure a prompt response:

Enter your NVC Case Number in the Subject Line of the e-mail.

Provide the applicant’s name and date of birth and the petitioner’s name and date of birth.

If you are an attorney, include the name of the law office requesting the information.

If the petition is employment-based, include the employer's company/organization name.

Ask about only one case per e-mail.

I received mine through email. NVC attorney is gonna send you an email letter correspondence relates to an immigrant visa. Attached there is the Immigrant Visa (IV) Application processing fee bill invoice for each applicant, and the Affidavit of Support (AOS) Processing Fee Bill Invoice for the case, how and where to send the payment.
