RFE for proof or citizenship....

I got the Hard copy yesterday and it was exactly what I thought. They wanted proof of citizenship and it specifically said My birth certificate with parents names' on it. I called USCIS and asked if I could use my passport since it is another proof of citizenship. They told me not to risk it and send my birth certificate. The problem is I only have the small style BC. So I called a VitalChek and ordered my birth certificate which should be here by wednesday. Now I have a small feeling I could have still sent my passport but I really really don't want to take any risks. I would hate to be denied after waiting this long. It's all worth it

You did the right thing...always give them exactly what they ask for...especially when they get very specific about what they want to see, as in this case.

Thank You for that....I know it would have been quicker with my Passport but I believe you're right about giving exactly what they request.

you can make a color copy of your us passport, if they want the long birthcertificate thats what you send them,
