Hello, does anyone know how we can get this fixed. They left off one letter from the end of my middle name. My fiance noticed when she picked up her Visa paperwork today from 2go. How important is this? And it it maybe only on the outside paperwork?

I'd try calling the Embassy first. It may just be a case of there not being enough space to print your fiancee's entire middle name but their database has her entire/correct middle name. The reason I'm saying this is that my middle name (on my US visa) got cut off as well although half of the last letter was printed (indicating it did print but there wasn't enough "allocated" space for it to show on the visa.

Personally, I don't think it will matter since her passport, US Immigrant Data Summary (+ other papers from the US Embassy pack) will show her complete name. Just to make sure, you could call the Embassy and tell them what you just told us and ask them if the visa will be acceptable to the airlines gate employee and the Port of Entry immigration officer. They should provide solutions/options if there will be a problem.

If it's your middle name, I wouldn't worry about it that much. What matters is your fiancee's infos are correct. BUT, for your peace of mind, you can always call USEM.

It's actually just my middle name the last letter was left off. She can not open the one packet. Just the part that she could read when she picked it up from 2 go. But it was my name not hers.

This would just be another damn delay with our Visa if I have to mail it back in. We have had nothing but problems and delays.

Good day everyone,

I am new to this site and found it very helpful to most of the questions I have in mind.

My father, mother and youngest sister visa was issued and delivered to our house via 2Go courier yesterday (May 31, 2013).

We are all happy, until we checked the visa and the only correct visa was the one for my father.

The visa for my mother didnt have the full middle name and last name and for my sister the printed was only the middle name and no last name.

My question is that, do we have to send back the packet to US embassy or call them for further instructions?

The full names of my mother and youngest sister were both lenghty and we are thinking that this could be the cause of not having the whole name printed out.

I really badly needed your advise or any advise of the other members who got the same problem/issue.

Please help me with the solution.

Thank you very much and God Bless.

As another stated - call the embassy, if the embassy says it needs to be corrected they will instruct you as to what to do.

You can take the passport out of the plastic bag, it the envelope marked DO NOT OPEN that you protect and not open.

As long as the beneficiary's name is correct and matches the passport, it is not a problem. If the incorrect name is the one listed as petitioner, who will know? She is the one travelling and using the visa. Only you and her will know--and maybe the USCIS when you go for AOS, but you can make certain that all names are entered onto the forms correctly at that time. It is up to you as to how to handle it, but it really does not matter as all the information for the beneficiary is correct and no one is going to check your information until she arrives at the POE where the CBP person MAY look up the information and MAY ask her why the petitioner's name is not correct. She then tells them it is missing the last letter of the middle name.

You can call the Embassy and see what they say. I would not worry about it too much.

Good luck,

Dave

You will need to contact the Embassy and get those incorrect visas fixed so the names match the name in their passports--no option here. Contact teh US Embassy to see how they want you to handle this. NEVER send anything back without proper authorization or it will end up in a black hole and may never be seen again.

Good luck,

Dave
