Hello VSJ again!

It is, almost, the time to take the last step on my journey with USCIS. In 3 weeks I will send the papers for naturalization.

I do need your help with few questions, please.

First, I don't know where do I have to send the application if I will send priority with confirmation signature. to the normal address or to the courier deliveries address?

On N400 form, on Part 9, info about your children: my husband has a daughter 11 yrs. I never put her in our forms (I751)before, do I have to mention her now? On the I751 form, in instruction, never specify that I have to mention her because she is my stepdaughter.

Thank you very much for your help.

I don't think I mentioned my stepsons before either (I then did on my N400), but I wouldn't worry about it - just mention her now and follow the instructions on the N400 for what to put for her.

There's a lot of discussion on this subject on VJ...the instructions on the N400 are much more specific to include ALL children vs the ones on the I751 - in my opinion.

Don't be - it's not like you lied and tried to sneak some child into the US, right? This is your step daughter who is already a full citizen and lives in the US...why would you even think to include her on your immigration app, right? I wouldn't lose any sleep over it at all. I certainly don't :)

We also screwed up on the I-751 just putting my wifes' two kids on it, never thought about my own six kids, married and long gone, but the N-400 says to list all kids, step or otherwise. Listing your own kids is the only thing they really look at and if they are under 18 as they can kind of tailgate you for US citizenship. Wifes' IO just said, wow, you have a bunch of kids, but none of them are eligible for US citizen. Her daughter was close, buy close only counts in horse shoes. Actually, just listing the kids that are affected by your application would make life easier for them, but they don't seem to know that.

Last step in your application is to go to this site, just seconds before you send off your application:

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=480ccac09aa5d010VgnVCM10000048f3d6a1RCRD&vgnextchannel=db029c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD

Print it out and underline what applies to you, seems like they are changing the addresses every five minutes. No wonder why they are so screwed up.

This is a very good question, I never noticed this issue before, now i'm curious and getting nervous too. I always thought the Children Part on all the immigration forms was only for alien chrildren tagging along with an immigrant or the children born to the marriage. God...now i'm worried too if this could be considered a misrepresentation here because I never included my husband's son and daughter on my forms at all, they're the same age as me, so I never practically think that they are my children, lol.

if anybody has an experience about this, please share and advise.

Yeah, we also omitted my kids names on the N-400 and learned we should have included that as well a week before my wifes' interview. Since we sent the N-400 printed double sided, and the N-400 was and still is on my computer, I added their names on Part 9, then printed just that page with part 10 on the back. My wife took that in and handed that to her IO telling her she forgot her husbands children, because they were all grown up and married. Her IO said thank you, tore out the old sheet and replaced it with the new. It was no problem.

In regards to family, my son had a baby girl that really loves my wife and calls her grandma, my wife really loves being called grandma, and loves her grandchild as well.
