Thats a nice gift...When H started driving we shopped around a lot and decided on the Magellan Roadmate 700 (I had to go look at the box to make sure). He loves using it.

Awesome gift! Gene has one and we've recently got involved with geocaching. What a wonderful way to spend time together and get some exercise too! We've had so much fun with the GPS and got to visit some places we might not have seen had we not the GPS!

Think Gene's is a Garman?

our 1 year anniversary is less than 2 weeks away :o and i have to get a gift quick and plan a vacation. I think I decided on a portable gps system. it looks like Magellan has a good product... anyone have any suggestions?

is this so when you call him and ask him where he is, he can give you a precise answer? :P

hahhahaha... well we do weekend trips faily often. it has been something we have thought about for awhile. since its kinda more like a gift for *us* I thought more appropriate for anniversary vs birthday, plus another getaway coming up when he returns.

I think it shouldnt be a surprise as GADGETS are HIS thing... he would pick a better model I am sure.

We have the Magellan Roadmate 860. Lai has no sense of direction and is a new driver, so the GPS is a great help  We decided on the Magellan because while in Canada last year, we rented a car that had a Hertz Neverlost, which is the basis for the Roadmate series. The voice for the voice prompts is pleasant sounding, though "Say Where" voice for giving street names, which is computer generated, can sound a bit odd. The Roadmate is quite accurate most of the time.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).
