You do need to fill out DS-160 for packet 3. DS-160 is done online BUT Montreal requires a paper copy as well as the online system isn't fully integrated yet. When you get to the end of the questions on the website you will have the option of printing out a paper version along with the confirmation receipt. DO print out a copy of the whole thing along with the confirmation receipt (it has a barcode)- it will save you time at the interview, if what I've read is correct. You also need to upload a photo of yourself to the website for the DS-160.

I was worried about this for my interview, since I only had the confirmation and not the entire form printed out. It was never brought up or asked for by anybody at Montreal. They didn't even ask for my confirmation. Worried about it for nothing.

Good to know. We just have the confirmation page with the barcode as well.

I thought of that but without the instructions I am not sure what I all have to send. Don't want to screw up at this point!

1) checklist of documents

2) DS-230 part I and part II

3) DS-156 – 2 copies https://evisaforms.state.gov/ds156.asp

4) DS-156K – 1 copy http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/82063.pdf

5) Form DS-160 – one copy, available online at https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/

So, my question now is on DS-156K it asks you to attach documents, am I right in understanding that the checklist serves as the attachment and we bring those items to the interview?

Thanks for the guidance, I think I have overthought this too much and am not sure of myself anymore!!!

Sent them Xpresspost the day DoS said P3 had been sent out and added a cover page lsiting what was inside and re-stating ym case #. That was it. Plus, I didn't physically get P3 until after I'd been authorized to book my interview so sending it as soon as P3 was sent shaved over a week off my processing time

Thank you once again Laura, I have my packet all in order, going to go photocopy it tomorrow and put it in the mail via express post on Monday.I have butterflies! Can't imagine the emotions I will have for the interview!

Question in regards to P3 docs....

Is it OK to fill out all the forms, specifically the one that's online prior to MTL logging in the paperwork and/or sending the P3?

I do, got that from NVC. Montreal hasn't done anything with our paperwork yet....as of Friday!

Also, when filing DS-160 (I think)...do you need to upload a picture with it?

If I remember correctly you do have to upload a digital picture with the ds-160 and it has to be within their standards.

Most of August just opened up. I got August 3rd. Will still try for something sooner but it's nice to have it booked!

Maybe at the beginning of June some June or July spots will open up....seems like that happened in April and May... sooo.. here's hoping!!!!
