Yeah, congrats on your appointment!!!! I sure hope there are some August appointments when I am allowed to book!

I am still waiting for my packet 3 which I was told was mailed on May 5th. I started filling out forms and am confused whether to complete the DS-160 and which photo to use...urgh will be glad when this process is done!

You do need to fill out DS-160 for packet 3. DS-160 is done online BUT Montreal requires a paper copy as well as the online system isn't fully integrated yet. When you get to the end of the questions on the website you will have the option of printing out a paper version along with the confirmation receipt. DO print out a copy of the whole thing along with the confirmation receipt (it has a barcode)- it will save you time at the interview, if what I've read is correct. You also need to upload a photo of yourself to the website for the DS-160.

I got the same day for my fiancee! Hopefully something will open up sooner, since we're supposed to leave for Hawaii on the 8th... don't think they'll issue the visa quick enough after that. But at least I have a date to plan things around!! Congrats to everyone who finally booked!! :)

Yeah, that's how I feel. And now we know for sure I can make the tentative wedding date of Sept 17th we've been working with, so we can start planning that! I really do need it a little sooner though since I have nowhere to live as of August 1st... but like you said, this is better than nothing! :D

Well at least everything will be good to go prior to the wedding!! Our wedding is August 5th in Canada, then we're hopefully crossing on the 8th. We won't get legally married until we're back in the states. I just don't know what to do at this point though. Cos according to iampatricias poll, I have a 30% chance of getting the visa in time.... so now i'm more confused than ever!!

:( Just keep refreshing and hope to get something just a little bit sooner? I'm going to give it until near the end of June before I give up on rescheduling and find a couch to live on for a few weeks.

yeah, I think refreshing for awhile is the way to go. Even just a few days sooner for us would make a world of difference! I'll try to find out the date at which point I'm no longer able to change my booking, and if I don't have a new appointment by then, reschedule. Could be worse though, at least we only have about 3 more months of separation at the worst!!! :D

Exactly! While I'm stressed over timing and other things, its nice to know there's a light at the end of the tunnel, so to speak. :)

You can send in the packet 3 anytime after they've mailed the packet 3 instructions. You don't have to wait for physical receipt of the packet 3. Use xpresspost and send packet 3 in now!!!

Hi,I finally navigated through the DS-160 site and printed the paper version with the confirmation receipt. It wouldn't take my photo and said to bring one to the interview. So,one more step done! I also registered for the DSL courier...didn't know until today there is one here in Thunder Bay! I hope to be able to book my appt. in Montreal soon.

I thought of that but without the instructions I am not sure what I all have to send. Don't want to screw up at this point!
