I live in Atlanta but will be traveling to Las Vegas for about a week. I really wanted my fiancee to go with me but they did not release the visa in time!... grrrrr. My question is, will it be a problem for her to fly directly from Phils to Las Vegas to meet me instead of Atlanta?... Will this be a problem in customs?... She will have a copy of my round trip itinerary and also her scheduled trip from Las Vegas back to Atlanta with me to show to customs.

Thanks!

Not sure if she can fly directly to Las Vegas as I don't believe it is considered a POE (point of entry) Are there direct flights from philippines to LV?. But she doesn't have to enter the US in Atlanta. She can fly to any POE in the US regardless of where you live.

My mistake, it is a POE, so if there is a direct flight then yes she can. If not then she will just go through immigration control at wherever her entry point is and then fly from there to LV.

Philippine airlines offers a direct flight from Manila to Vegas for I believe 902.00 USD

Thanks for the replies. I know I can find her a ticket to go to Vegas. I'm worried though, since she is coming on a K1 Visa and she is carrying an envelope that customs will open, if it's going to be a problem that she is not flying to Atlanta where we will be living on her first trip to the US. Has anybody done something like this before? Thanks!

My husband came through POE (and gave them the envelope etc) in Chicago since there wasn't a direct flight to Dallas. There were no problems, and he didn't have to prove he was flying on to Dallas or anything like that. It will be fine.
