13 days til our interview, last thing gotta do is med exam this week. hope the dang typhoon's will stop rolling in one after another! makes me nervous for her to go all the way to manila with that mess there.

did you put the "A" at the end, like this: EXP 12 AUG 2011A ? i kept doing my date without the "A" at the end and it didnt work, thought it was a typo when i saw the thread telling how to track it. put that "A" in there and worked.

I have to wait until monday to get the DHL code from NVC. will call then. thx

Thanks all, I figured it out. Hard to tell which package is mine. According to NVC, they sent it out to Guangzhou China on 8/12/11 but there was no package until 8/17/11 and it was signed 8/26/11. However, we still have not received anything from the consulate about Package 3. Wonder what the delay is ?

Hello May filers. How is everyone doing? Waiting is something we can all relate to. Some for approvals and some as after the approval. I send my rfe back to vsc little over two weeks ago and still no approval :( . Hope this waiting comes to an end for everyone soon. Take care and good luck to everyone.

Now that ours is on the embassy level, its up to Thailand to make it faster. :( I hope this goes well.

Currently.... they have issued Ice the incorrect GC and we have tried 4 times to fix it. First time they had us send it to the incorrect address. Second time they said we used an expired form, which was the form they gave us. Third time was "oh sorry we lost the last page, can you send it again?." Fourth time is the gov is shut down. Will this ever be corrected in time for Ice to get the permanent GC? Stay tuned to find out. T_T

Riza had her medical last week. She was a day late due to the bad weather and cancelled flights. Went well. She also finally received her NBI clearance. They were super slow kept push the date back. She had to go up the chain of command. LOL Interview is on the 6th!

hello Ni-ing!

noticed you said "sending in packet 3 today". what does that mean? coz as far as i understood beneficiaries from the Philippines don't have to send anything to US Embassy Manila prior to interview. Everything will be submitted/hand delivered during the interview. or am i mistaken here? Or maybe it's different with BKK embassy?

anyone, please shed some light on this... please... I am preparing all my documents and taking all of them with me to interview. correct? Nothing to mail to embassy prior to my interview, right? Thanks everyone!

I don't know about your country, but in Thailand, as long as you know that the embassy has the petition, you can download packet 3 from the website and send it in.

UPDATE! My case has reached BKK, sending in packet 3 today. If DHL website says it was processed in BKK, does that mean they will deliver it today (sat) or Monday?

Yes, other embassies have different procedures. My guess is that all embassies will eventually do away with the packet 3 and adopt USEM's method. For Manila, nothing is mailed and should be brought with you to the interview.

for those of you who's fiance(e) has already done the med exam in the PI, did your fiance(e) do the pre-registration via the slec website? mine did that and i'm just curious if it was at all a time saver or not? she's at her exam right now, hope i can get a text from her soon for an update. i can tell by chatting with her earlier she's a bit stressed, poor gal probably didnt hardly sleep a wink. sounded like she wasnt too fond of the area at all and said the lotus garden is pretty noisey. not sure if we'll stay there next week when we go for the interview...

I pre-registered Amy for her medical, but she hasn't gone yet. I think she's allowed by me to wait a while to go considering she just delivered our daughter. Our interview isn't until 10-18 anyway. I think we'll be fine as long as we get it done before the 72-hour mark prior to the interview. I'll be arriving in Manila late night on the 10th.
