Currently.... they have issued Ice the incorrect GC and we have tried 4 times to fix it. First time they had us send it to the incorrect address. Second time they said we used an expired form, which was the form they gave us. Third time was "oh sorry we lost the last page, can you send it again?." Fourth time is the gov is shut down. Will this ever be corrected in time for Ice to get the permanent GC? Stay tuned to find out. T_T

we're also expecting for an rfe because i only emailed him a scanned copy of mine :( a family friend of ours though did not get an rfe, his letter of intent was also faxed. i guess it depends on the adjudicator.

Question, please: How will i know if my petition has already left the USCIS and now on its way to NVC? Got the email (Sept. 13) that says my case has been approved (still waiting for hard copy) and been calling NVC (am i calling the wrong people?) for MNL Case Number but still no luck.

I don't have personal experience, but what I've read is that it can take a week or two (sometimes more) for the petition to get sent to NVC and be put into their system. I wouldn't worry that you don't have a case number yet. Try calling them again next week (and I've read that it's better to speak to someone in person at NVC instead of relying on the automated system for info on your petition). Hope that helps! :)

You might want to try calling next week. We got approved on the first of September, and it took awhile to get to NVC.
