Ok.so not sure about CSC but I think VSC was effected by the earthquake in the east coast and that's why there haven't been any approvals from there. Glad to see that everyone is ok there. God bless and good luck to all waiting.

not alot of csc approvals lately neither :(

i-129f sent - 5/25/11

Yep there haven't been lot of approvals from both centers. Like I said earlier not sure why that is at CSC but there seem to be a reason for VSC. At least just for today.

I have question if anyone can answer bout igors list if im no. 181 do i need to go to no. 1 before approval?

Nope, you don't need to be in the number 1 spot to be approved. I remember someone about a month ago got approved and they were number 222. Hope that helps! :)

Looks like there were 3 approvals from VSC today (at least when I checked a minute ago)... 2 from March, and one from May (NOA1 dated 05-09-2011). We're getting closer!!! We've got to keep the faith, it will happen for us!!! :star:

Hello May filers.

Well another weekday gone without an approval. I.was really hoping to see an approval notice by end of this week but guess that won't be happening. Both centers have slowed down tremendously. I wonder what is going on and do hope they pick Up the pace again.

Well on to wishing for approvals next week. Good luck all and god bless.

Currently.... they have issued Ice the incorrect GC and we have tried 4 times to fix it. First time they had us send it to the incorrect address. Second time they said we used an expired form, which was the form they gave us. Third time was "oh sorry we lost the last page, can you send it again?." Fourth time is the gov is shut down. Will this ever be corrected in time for Ice to get the permanent GC? Stay tuned to find out. T_T

hi Nikki!...I don't know if it's true but my fiance said that the government are laying off alot of people working in different federal agencies.I really hope this isn't true. This would mean slow processing times.

Things are moving along for us  ..... (We submitted our petitions in May) ...got the NOA's two weeks ago stating both petitions were approved (our I-129 and our I-130) and being sent to the U.S. Dept. of State. Now today I received a letter from the Dept. of State telling us that both approved petitions are being sent to the U.S. Embassy in Manila (and that our I-130 will now be the process -- no more need for the I-129).

However, the NVC instructions regarding the "Affidavit of Support" fee of $88 are not very clear -- first they instruct me on how to pay the fee (via debit our checking account), but then the instructions go on to say that we should not pay the fee if the "applicant" is going to go for a "change of status" when she arrives in the U.S.:blink::wacko: ....... well of course she is going to apply for "Permanent Resident" status when she gets here! - that is the point of doing the I-130 for an Immigrant Visa. Right?! (The NVC instructions seemed to indicate that if my wife brings the "Affidavit of Support" documents to the Embassy interview then I don't need to pay this $88 fee  ..... but geez, these instructions are clear as mud).

Oh well.... I sent an e-mail to get some clarification. We're just happy that things are moving!

The change of status is for non-immigrant visas (fiancee visas are classified as this and require a change of status to immigrant after the marriage), which yours is not. Yours is an immigrant visa. I hope this clears up any confusion.
