Hey guys I have a question. I'm sure its been asked before and I apologize before asking. Is it normal to get an approval or rfe without seeing any "touch" on USCIS website. I'm asking because my noa1 date is may 9. After seeing that VSC working on some May files I checked my status and it has not been touched since May 12. I hired a lawyer. This was of course before I found VJ. He did not ask me to submit any proof of meeting in 2 years. After reading many post about getting rfe because of no evidence, I believe I will also get RFE. Just wondering if there is a time limit on when they send RFE after NOA1. Thank u so much in advance for any information I get.

We were approved in 77 days with no touch showing for us, except for when the case was entered into USCIS' system and when it was approved. Other than that, I would say touch or no touch is possible. I would think it just depends upon the complexity of the case and what needs to be done with it. Tom is right about the lawyer. I would've been all over him for his incompetence. :bonk:

You will probably get an RFE for more evidence of having met. I'd prepare it now, and pay special attention to those peices of evidence that can put the two of you in the same place at the same time. That's receipts for hotel rooms, plane ticket stubs, stamps in passports, photos with dates on them. Any other supporting documents like pictures of you two with each other and your families, dated or not would also be appropriate.

As to the touch, it was a lot more common in the past to get a touch and then wait, then get another or an NOA2. Now, it seems that those that get touched go straight to the RFE, and those with no RFE get sent and NOA2 straight away, so the touch IS the approval. I'd vote for no touch in this case. So, is it normal not to get a touch? Yes, very normal.

From posts that I've read, some people have gotten an RFE 5 or 6 months after receiving the NOA1... I think it's just whenever USCIS begins adjudicating your application and they see something is missing (or whatever the case may be). That's when they issue an RFE. Have you started gathering evidence of meeting in the last 2 years?

I.already have everything that is needed. Even for the interview ready. I'm just upset now because I feel I would get RFE because of my lawyer's mistake.

Good, I'm glad you have all the evidence together now. That's terrible your lawyer didn't prepare your application correctly...how infuriating!!! :(

Yes Its so frustrated to know that he did not do his job. I only got a lawyer because I thought my case was complicated. My fiance and I were married once With each other and filed spouse visa. Then we got divorce because we were young and dumb I guess and couldn work it out and made the stupid decision to divorce. Anyways so he left the country since he was only here for me. We kept in touch and decided to get back together. After consulting a lawyer I was told to apply for k1. only reason I hired a lawyer and of course b4 I found VJ.

Sabrina.... I'll be praying for Tolga and his country too. I know what you mean. The world is crazy. Everytime I hear something about the Red shirts in Thailand, I get nervous because Chiang Mai is red shirt target. That's too mathematical for my brain :lol:ME TOO!! This waiting is making us insane. Literally. Happy one day, angry the next. It sucksIt's good to hear from the March filers that the timeline is pretty correct. I just hope we get lucky and it's early :D May the force be with us. :alien: I hope we all get approved in August. wishful thinking....Glad you're doing ok, Ate Britt. Sounds like you're busy~ that's good!As for me and Ice, we're hanging in there. Ice is studying hard, and I have been working hard, studying how to run hotels (I'm a sales manager, still learning). In my free time I've been filing out all of the DS forms even tho I know we can get them later. And I organized a copy of the petition in a binder with the DS forms, the I-134 stuff, all of the stuff he will need for the interview, and left spots for copies of the medical papers, police certificate and translated documents. I know it's early, but I'm organizing now because my classes for my last year in college start in five days, so when I have full time school and work, I won't have much time for this stuff. It's the calm before the storm....I'm about to do the impossible: full time school (five classes), full time work (40 hours), part time home business (5 hours a week?), plan a wedding AND find an apartment. Wish me luck!!!! And goodluck for us VSC! ;)

Yeah kind of... I'm a full-time mom now, so it's only the girls and Dee who keep me busy, but I know I'll be busier starting next month. You actually do better than me, you already started preparing your docs, I haven't. I know I need to start working on our "evidences" but because of my Internet connection been actin up lately, I couldn't get online to print our emails and magic jack call record. Right now, I'm just using my phone but the data charges is hella expensive! Ugh! Anyway, Just keep that positive vibes, and think about Ice and your wedding. Speaking of wedding, my Dad wants to come to Cali to attend my wedding. I wouldn't have to worry if only my mom is not coming, but she is! she already cancelled her Rome/Manila trip to be in CA in December. I haven't told my mom about it yet, but ill call her later this week and let her know. Looks like my family will be reunited finally, after 27 friggin years! Hope there will be no drama on my big day. Oh well... let's just see. Lol
