Vermont does get many more applications than California, not sure why, I think it's to do with the population split? California gets more work visas apparently... As it sits, they DO process the work visas before they process the family ones, and also, I think Vermont is still catching up from a shortage of workers, they took a lot of people off to work on other desks when Libya started having issues, and I still think they're short staffed. In any case, they seem to be speeding things up, so you may not have as long a wait ahead of you!

Yeah, I've read here about VSC having shortage of workers and they receive more applications than VSC which is surprising to me, according to my coach during my call center training, 10-15 years ago, California has the highest population of immigrants. I guess a lot of them moved to Southside or Eastside huh?

Currently.... they have issued Ice the incorrect GC and we have tried 4 times to fix it. First time they had us send it to the incorrect address. Second time they said we used an expired form, which was the form they gave us. Third time was "oh sorry we lost the last page, can you send it again?." Fourth time is the gov is shut down. Will this ever be corrected in time for Ice to get the permanent GC? Stay tuned to find out. T_T

Received two I-797 NOA's today (8/12/11)... our I-129 and our I-130 petitions were approved :)

I'm going to have to read the "rule book" again, but I think we now go forward with just the I-130 processing (we don't need the I-129 process now -- at least  I'm thinkin' that's right).

Our wedding pics with music...

Just want to clarify, what date do we list for the NOA1.

The date on the document (mine in May 25)

or the date it was last updated by USCIS (mine went in to initial review May 31)

or the date I received the NOA1 in the mail (about June 2, I was on vacation so dont have exact date)

It's the date on your NOA1 - so in your case, May 25.
