Also, On the DOS website it says "The father (unless deceased) has agreed in writing to provide financial support for the person until the person reaches the age of 18 years" For the CRBA. How does one go about making this agreement. The Consulate website in Russia doesnt have a form for this nor does the DOS. Do the just want a written notarized statement or what exactly?

What did you use as proof for residence in the US for 5 years or more for your daughter's CRBA? I have a few things but Im not sure it is enough information for the DOS.

I obtained and submitted copies of my high school transcripts, both official and unofficial since I didn't know which they would need.

The DS-5507 is the form you will need for this. Even though you're going through the Consulate in Moscow, I'd check out Manila's website (http://manila.usembassy.gov/service/citizenship/first-time-report-of-birth-abroad7.html) and use their check list. Some items won't apply to Moscow, such as the NSO copy of the birth certificate (for that, follow the requirements for Russia), but all the forms you should need are available from there.

Good Day my May Fliers.Anyone received their case number or interview yet? I hope it wont be too long! We just now trying to get back on track ourselves. Grace is really still torn up about her Dad and rightly so.We talked on video chat last nite here and she had continous Tears streaming down her face about her father. She told me this will be the first Christmas that she will not have her Dad there to help celebrate. She is still hurting, and I know its hard since he just passed a couple weeks ago. I do all i can from Southern Cali to support and give her Positive thoughts and feelings. I know with time she will heal and move on.BUT its hard. we have to get back on track now for our future. We only have until March 2012. Continue to pray and keep us in your thoughts May Fliers.

I am sorry if I post often about this, But beside my immediate family who is not as connected about this process as all you guys, who can i share to???? Thanks for listening and again I am sorry to keep talking about this, but she HURTS, I HURT!

You dont need to say sorry. We are all family here. Everything will be back to normal for u and grace. I cant even begin to imagine wat she could be going through but I do know that she is blessed to have a life partner like you. I hope and pray for both of you guys. God help grace in this most difficult time and also for both of u to be together soon.

You and Grace will be in my prays, and yeah, Southcalhog is a good thing that you share and express your feelings. It helps to just type it out and post and read other people comments about it. It's an usual thing for people to do by keep posting about it. It's nature...so don't worry. =)..We are here to understand and support you through psychologically and emotionally. =)..May God be with you and Grace, stay strong throughout. ...

No need to apologize, Tom! We are here for you, and to support you and Grace. Grace is a lucky woman to have you, and I have no doubt she feels your love and support during this time all the way from SoCal. I'm sure she's going to hurt for a while... my father passed away 14 years ago, and some days it feels like only 14 days ago. It took me a while to learn to live with his passing, but what brought me comfort - besides my family and friends - was that I knew he would always be with me, watching over me. He would always be in my heart and in my thoughts. Grace will learn to live with this too, and I'm glad she has your strength to lean on. If you need to talk, Tom, we are here to listen!

Currently.... they have issued Ice the incorrect GC and we have tried 4 times to fix it. First time they had us send it to the incorrect address. Second time they said we used an expired form, which was the form they gave us. Third time was "oh sorry we lost the last page, can you send it again?." Fourth time is the gov is shut down. Will this ever be corrected in time for Ice to get the permanent GC? Stay tuned to find out. T_T
