Sorry, Tom. I thought I had posted what's going on in our case. I guess not. Amy and Serena went for their CRBA interview on the 17th. All went well, except they didn't like or accept the notarized copy (I only had the first page notarized (all pages needed to be notarized)) I had scanned and emailed to Amy. I ended up having to send her my passport via DHL. She'll get that on Tuesday afternoon and then revisit the embassy (no appointment necessary) on Wednesday. So far, so good. I'm starting to save for their airfare. Due to finances, we had to push the wedding date back to early March. But, yes. I'm back home and back to work.

Im glad things finally worked out for you after the headache they gave you. You see, it all work out for the good even after all the trials you guys went through. I guess you can look at it this way......."You will have your family Home for the Holidays"!! Sorry you had to push the Wedding back but I know as well as you how expensive this process is. but thanks to God, you came out good. Good Luck, Congratulations after your hard work and may you and your family have Good Holidays!!

It's good that you have the CRBA done before your interview. The interviewing officer may ask about that, though it won't affect the outcome. I was wondering if you saw this on the US Embassy - Moscow's site:

"If one parent is a Russian national, you may add your child to that parent's Russian individual travel passport or apply for an individual Russian passport for the baby to use to depart Russia. You may also choose to travel out using your child's American passport, however, this requires that the Russian parent officially renounces the baby's Russian citizenship. All the three procedures, i.e. issuance of a Russian exit visa, issuance of a Russian travel passport, and renunciation of Russian citizenship are handled by the Federal Migration Service and may take several weeks to complete."

I thought it interesting that Manila has a checklist to follow and Moscow doesn't. In fact, the checklist for Manila needs to be signed and dated and is part of the documentation packet. Also, ensure the birth certificate is the government issued copy. They are very strict about this requirement.

Yeah we decided to get our son both a Russian and American Passport. He received his Russian Passport about 10 days ago so all we need now is the US passport and we are good to go =)

Yeah, I came out of the trip to see them very well. I actually had money left over. Hehehe. I even had invitations printed. I guess it's a good thing that I didn't catch that they had left out the date of the ceremony on the proofing. I've come up with a simple fix for that, though. I'll be including 'Save the Date' cards with the invitations. :)

So I just got an email from USCIS. It says that my case is pending review and the casr are processed as resources and priorities allow. What the hell.does that really mean. The.email did not give any time or days to wait this time. Not sure how to take this email. Im sooo depressed now. Im still gonna call em next week as told when I put in service request.

Well I just called today and was told same as the email. The lady was really nice and gave me lot of information and answered lot if questions none that could really help me. She also said if no decision is made my january 2012 to call back and see what they can do. This is really crazy. At least before I had a time limit like 60, 30,15 days but now she basically said she cant tell me anything besides to wait till january and call back if I dont hear anything. I just wanted to post this as my last status to let my may filers know. I just wanna thank everyone for the prayers and support. I will now just be leaving this site till I get an approval and have some kind of good news in my life. I will only post and come back till I get that approval. Good luck to everyone and hope no one goes through the nightmare like mine ever.

Thanks for the update, I bet it is only because the person who is working on the file is out of the office maybe on vacation because of the holiday. Keep your head up - soon as they get back I'm sure they'll get to you.

Totally respect the choice to not post until approval. It can be stressful waiting but even if you're not here you will NOT be forgotten. Can't wait for you to hear about your case and share your news.

I feel more approvals coming very soon. Don't give up guys. But I understand the frustration. I was having a rough time. But the moment you get that approval, you're on to the next phase and let go of this angst. HUGS TO MY MAY PEOPLE!!! I love you all!!!
