Currently.... they have issued Ice the incorrect GC and we have tried 4 times to fix it. First time they had us send it to the incorrect address. Second time they said we used an expired form, which was the form they gave us. Third time was "oh sorry we lost the last page, can you send it again?." Fourth time is the gov is shut down. Will this ever be corrected in time for Ice to get the permanent GC? Stay tuned to find out. T_T

If it still say initial step or something like that it has not been touched since noa1. I read on another thread that a touch is just they handle your petition in some way. Like to find that it is ok to process at all or needs other stuff done etc etc etc... some people may not see a touch behind intitial if they or moving fast and its a easy petition. I read it doesn't even take long once they run the fbi security checks stuff.

It looks like they vsc has sped up some, which means good things for us. When I look through the stats on Igor's list and timeline estimates it looks promising. In one place it says they are around January 15 petitions, in another the days are down to 141 for full process, and in another the last bunch of people I see getting noa2 are End of January or better yet February for the most part. On average the data looks like approval when up from 5 to 4 months. And is still going faster everyday. I check Igor's List too much lol. Seriously, from the day I got noa1 til now that date it says went from December 12 to January 15 which is processing like 2 months in the last one. Also, I looked at the stats from this time last year and it sped up also around the same time and kept going through summer. May Filers last year was approved on average in 3 months no later than August for most I saw. And remind a few months before that it was also at the limit til 5 just like we are noticing with people that filed back in our say December 2010.

So I hope all that is hopeful to hear.

Yeah...mine says October 1st - 20th :)

Mine has shifted a month too. It started and between October and November AND now is between September and October. Like you said, I too will expect the longest November and hope for the earliest. Again from the trends recently to past year trends this is the time VSC seem to speed up. Not sure why it does in the summer but I'll take it :) That is why the people that filed last fall/winter takes long because that is when it slows down, especially from November on. Hopefully we are all dont by then lol. Anyway, here is the thread someone made 2 years old but still relevant info, I think. It is a conversation someone here had with the Director at VSC.

I read on another post that VSC has been moving into a new building. Any increase in processing times you might be seeing could be due to progress being made in moving their operations to their new home.

And I was talking about VSC, you CSC filers are in even better shape :) It is about to go under 100 days for approval and it will continue to fall the next 2 months I think (based again on past few yrs trends), so you might be less than 3 months :)
