I sent out our I-130 packet yesterday at Fed Ex Kinko's. I sent it Fed Ex 2 Day, meaning it was supposed to arrive on Monday. Just for fun I decided to check where it was at, so I tracked it on the Fed Ex web site. It tells me:

Status- Delivered

Destination- WILLISTON, VT (ok, I sent it to St. Albans)

Then on the details section it says:

Sept. 8:

7:53 am- At dest. sort facility, South Burlington, VT

8:43 am- At local Fed Ex facility, Williston, VT

10:47 am- Held at Fed Ex location for recipient pickup, Williston, VT (yeah like I'm sure they're really planning to come pick it up)

10:47 am- Delivery Exception (!!!!!), Williston, VT

10:57 am- Delivered, Williston, VT

It says off to the side-"Rerouted to revised delivery address, Package available for pickup at 921 Marshall Ave."

It does however say signed for by A. Scotemp

So what has happened to this package? Was it delivered or is it stuck somewhere waiting for the Vermont Service Center to come pick it up (which I'm sure they'll do after all since I am a US Citizen after all and I wrote them a letter asking them to do so /sarcasm). And if it is stuck somewhere how do I get it unstuck? Let me also make sure I sent it to the right address:

75 Lower Welden St.

St. Albans, VT 05479-0001

As I recall there is an Immigration office in Williston as well, and I think Gupt is right about the Sort Facility. You do have the right address for St. Albans ,so I am sure all is well. Just try not to worry about it over the weekend! :D

Good luck!

Well at least you got tracking info from FedEx!

When I sent my package certified with signature confirmation from USPS, I had signed up for email updates and didn't get the email saying it'd been delievered until AFTER I got my NOA1 in the mail. Thankfully I'd called the 800 number and found it was delievered.

Silly mail people!

LOL silly mail people is right! I wasn't really all that worried, just annoyed at the prospect that it may have gone to the wrong place and I would be having to spend time and effort to get it sorted out. But now that I have gotten all these responses, I think we're probably fine!

Yes, USPS "tracking" is a joke. I once had to endure a week of some guy on eBay emailing me every day going "why haven't you sent the package, the USPS website says the tracking number doesn't exist! Why are you screwing me!!!"

Surprise, surprise, the tracking number didn't show up on USPS until after the package was delivered!
