Hey folks,

I am a permanent resident but I am trying to help a friend to change/extend his status from H2B to B2 visa so He can save some money on attorney's fees.

I have successfully extended a tourist visa B2 for another friend but that's a little different cause you change status that's why I'm researching a little bit first. I am not exactly sure which form(s) to file but I definitely know that one of them is I-539 application to extend change/non-immigrant status. I can file that but I am not sure if there is another form that I have to file concurrently with that? Do you guys know anything about it? Should he better use an attorney cause I don't think it is that complicated if you know the exact forms and you read the instructions or it's just I-539 I think...?
