We just got the best text in the world, that we are approved. WOW.. We are truly excited.

Just today I called the USCIS for the first time. I guess I got a tier 1 contractor that "looked up" our case in the system after asking me for certain information and "requesting" an update from the USCIS system. After a few minutes, the rep told me that at 165 days we were still within their normal processing window and that I needed to wait another 20 days before calling again.

I closed the converstation with the rep by saying, "Ok, I will be calling back in 20 days".

I was thinking that we might have an issue with the "free to marry" requirement since my evidence was 1 page confirmation of my divorce and 1 page copy of her certificate of finality from her annulment. Guess I spent to much time reading VJ and feeling like I had done something wrong. But apparently the evidence was sufficient.

Now, I am not saying that we got our approval because I called today. But it is a wonderful coincidence. At any rate. We are estatic that we can move into our next steps.

June 1, 2011 - NVC file scanned and uploaded to Guangzhou
